What is the Medina Summit
Land Conservancy?

We are a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving open space, natural areas and the rural atmosphere of Medina and Summit Counties.

Dear Neighbors and Friends,

It is a pleasant experience to live and work in Medina County.  I grew up here and am raising my own family in Sharon Township.  Right now, Medina County seems to have it all.  We enjoy the benefits of small-town life, while being within easy access of both Cleveland and Akron.

We recognize a unique quality of life here.  It is the result of being surrounded by woods, open fields, streams and back roads winding off into the country.

That is the lure of Medina County.  And it's no secret.

Right now we are watching our community grow at a dizzying rate.  But we can do something about it.

Through land trusts like the Medina Summit Land Conservancy, individuals can protect their land from future development. Donation of land, restricting developing rights through a conservation easement and bargain sale of land are a few ways that land owners can legally ensure that their property is not developed.

You don't have to own land to preserve it. You can donate your time, talents and financial resources to enable us to work toward preservation goals.  Please join us now to help maintain the rural and natural beauty of Medina and Summit Counties.

Yours truly,

Jeffrey Holland,
Trustee
